This course, designed with University of Maine at Augusta, will assist students to develop the skills necessary to be successful in college. In this course, you will be provided an opportunity to experience college expectations and routines, such as choosing classes and participating in online classes. A variety of expert speakers will help students gain the tools necessary to be confident and successful in college. In a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere, this class will cover topics such as college applications, FAFSA & financial aid, scholarships, loans and grants, accessing resources, study skills, and time management. At the end of the course, all students will have completed the application process to their chosen school and all financial aid documentation needed for enrollment.

Upon successful completion, students may be eligible for college credits and/or scholarship opportunities. (3 UMA credits/1 KVCC credit)
