Firearms & Hunter Safety

This course is being taught by a trained, certified volunteer instructor according to statewide standards. Russell will cover the following topics: proper firearms handling (rifle and shotgun), survival/first aid, hunter responsibility, map and compass and landowner relations.
This Classroom Course consists of 12 hours of instruction. Students must demonstrate to the instructor that they can safely handle a firearm, participate in activities, bring in a survival kit with appropriate contents and pass a 50-question test with a grade of at least 70%.
For students age ten years old and up.
Participants will not be allowed to bring either guns or ammunition into the building
